Your inbound address and extra aliases

Every IntoPaid shop gets a primary inbound address. Forward or CC customer emails to it and IntoPaid creates a ticket automatically — no signup or action needed on the customer's side.

Inbound address

Primary address plus extra aliases (1 on Basic, 2 on Grow).

Copy the inbound address, then forward or CC customer mail to it.

Finding your primary address

Open Settings → Email intake → Inbound. Your primary address is displayed there with a copy button. Once you have it, set up a forwarding rule or CC in your regular email provider so customer inquiries land in your ticket inbox.

For step-by-step forwarding instructions, see Forward an email.

Extra aliases

Aliases are additional addresses on the IntoPaid inbound domain that also create tickets in the same inbox. They're handy when you want separate entry points for different kinds of work — say one for wedding inquiries and another for general orders.

You manage aliases in Settings → Email intake → Extra inbound aliases. The page shows how many of your plan's aliases you've used (for example, "1 of 1 used on Basic"). To add one, type a name into the form — the placeholder suggests something like orders — and save. You can remove any alias from the same list.

Pick a name specific to your shop. Generic names like hello, quote, or farm aren't available.

Alias limits by plan

Plan Extra aliases included
Basic 1
Grow 2
  • At the cap on Basic: you'll see a note that Grow includes 2 extra aliases, with a link to subscribe to Grow.
  • At the cap on Grow: email the IntoPaid team with the subject line Extra inbound aliases to purchase more.

For full plan details, see Plans and billing.

Aliases are not a custom shop email

Every alias still lives on IntoPaid's inbound domain. Customers see an @…intopaid… address, not your own domain.

If you want to send and receive as something like [email protected], that's a separate feature called a Brand address, available on the Grow plan. Set it up in Settings → Email intake → Brand address and see Custom shop email for the full guide.

The private ticket mailbox

When you reply from a ticket, IntoPaid sends the message from a unique, per-ticket address (a shop+token style address on the IntoPaid domain). If the customer writes back, their reply threads onto the same ticket automatically.

You never need to copy or manage these addresses — they're generated and handled for you. Even after you enable a Brand address for outgoing mail, the Reply-To on each message still points to the private ticket mailbox so threading keeps working. More on that in Custom shop email.
